Description

Carvel Ice Cream Cake has been a beloved part of celebrations for generations, and for me, it’s forever tied to the sound of summer and the laughter of childhood birthday parties. I still remember the first time I had a slice—it was at my cousin’s backyard birthday bash, the kind where paper hats flew off in the wind and someone always ended up jumping in the pool fully clothed. But when the cake came out, everything stopped. That perfect combination of creamy ice cream, thick fudge, and those magical chocolate crunchies? Pure joy.

Ingredients

Scale

    • 1 quart of vanilla ice cream

    • 1 quart of chocolate ice cream

    • 1 cup of fudge sauce

    • 1 cup of crunchies (you can use crushed chocolate cookies or buy Carvel crunchies online)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line a round cake pan with plastic wrap.
  2. First Layer: Spread the vanilla ice cream evenly in the pan.
  3. Add Crunchies: Sprinkle a layer of crunchies over the vanilla ice cream.
  4. Fudge Layer: Pour fudge sauce over the crunchies.
  5. Second Layer: Add the chocolate ice cream on top.
  6. Freeze: Cover the pan with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours.
  7. Decorate: Once frozen, remove the cake from the pan and decorate with whipped icing and sprinkles.
