Description

Churro Cheesecake Recipe is more than just a mashup of two beloved desserts—it’s a culinary love letter to indulgence. Picture the golden crunch of a classic churro, dusted in cinnamon sugar, wrapped around a silky layer of rich, tangy cheesecake. It’s the kind of dessert that sparks instant joy, whether served warm at a festive gathering or chilled for a late-night treat.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Cheesecake Filling:

    • 16 oz (450g) cream cheese, softened

    • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar

    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    • 2 large eggs

For the Churro Layers:

    • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough

    • ½ cup (100g) unsalted butter, melted

    • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar

    • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Optional Toppings:

    • Caramel sauce

    • Chocolate sauce

    • Whipped cream

    • Fresh strawberries or other fruits

Instructions

    1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.

    1. Prepare the Cheesecake Filling:
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Set aside.

    1. Assemble the Churro Layers:
Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, sealing any perforations. Spread the cheesecake filling evenly over the dough. Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place it on top of the filling, sealing the edges.

    1. Add the Cinnamon-Sugar Topping:
In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon. Brush the melted butter evenly over the top layer of dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture generously over the butter.

    1. Bake the Cheesecake:
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheesecake filling is set. Allow the dessert to cool completely before slicing.

    1. Serve and Enjoy:
Cut the Churro Cheesecake into squares and serve with optional toppings like caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, or whipped cream.
